I couldn't agree more. It is time for a new story that creates quality of life instead. Greed is not working. Happy New Year!

You said it! If we let the economy follow quality of life, we’d all be better off. Thanks for reading Maria!

How often do we need to experience the reality that cutting government and public spending benefits the few, not the many? Nothing trickles down.

So, the oligarchs believe that unfettering entrepreneurs from social obligations and regulations will bring prosperity to all? Clearly they are not students of history. “Their fair share“ is not just a jaunty little poem. It’s what you gotta pay to play. Warren Buffet understands that. If we could only put the oligarchs in their own sandbox and let them see how it works out. Unfortunately, we have to share their fate.

They’re too out of touch to care if their theory’s not true. We have to make them pay their fair share, whether they believe in it or not.

And this is WHY sociopaths who don’t give a damn about local quality of life programs should NEVER be administrators of budgets!

Well said! Be an advocate for the services you provide. Use resources provided by NRPA and similar organizations for support and recommendations to talk with elected officials.

Outrage is a growing anger being directed at the oligarchs and their paid politicians. The new battlefield we can shape if we unite into a single voice and direct the beam at the true targets. The battlefield must become the Bottom versus the Top. Simple. We have a shot if we can make a platform that will sell to the Bottom. Free universal healthcare, a Living Wage Supplement, free Child School Lunch, free college education, etc. If you build it…https://hotbuttons.substack.com/p/create-a-platform-for-all?r=3m1bs

Truly spoken, Dr. Lovely! Parks and green spaces are integral with public health and cooperative learning about the important things in life. Unfortunately, many town board members are in the pockets of corporate donors, or seeking to turn a buck for themselves with the public benefit left wanting. Keep an eye open for the "broligarchs" to propose mining geothermal energy from Yellowstone, and to knock down the cliffs of Yosemite for their minerals. I won't put anything past them anymore. Thank you for your list of references, and Happy New Year, may it be an improvement over years past!
