There truly are no rational justifications for these actions, other than plain malignancy. Truly awful people in positions they are unqualified to hold.
Being well into my septuagenarian years, I no longer recognize the world in which I live. I can’t fathom why inclusivity has become a negative thing. Inclusion provides so many more perspectives and experiences to enrich ourselves. One of my most precious blessings is that my “grands” who are Gen Z, call me frequently to see if I want to go on an adventure with them. It’s amazing what they come up with. But if society keeps reducing accessibility and/or opportunities for people who have limitations. our adventures will be reduced. (Has anyone one noticed that handicapped parking spaces get fewer and fewer?). Thank you Dr. Stephanie, for your advocacy for all!
Think Abbott in Texas would be okay with people neglecting to ever add ramps to building entrances again? Given the way this regime goes about things, they'll probably be ripping them out.
Hi Stephanie, I read and thought about this article and asked what one of my hero’s would say about this destruction of progress for all. These are my views not my writings 😀Here it goes:
What Would John Muir Say About DEI-Inclusive Playgrounds for All Children?
He would likely praise them as modern expressions of the very ideals he held dear: access to nature, opportunities for healing and joy, and the belief that everyone—including children of all backgrounds and abilities—deserves the chance to experience the wonder of the natural world.
“Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in.”
— John Muir
A thoughtfully designed playground that welcomes all children—regardless of race, ability, language, or background—would embody Muir’s belief that nature and play should be universally accessible.
These inclusive spaces allow children to:
• Play safely regardless of mobility or sensory needs
• See themselves reflected in the design, art, or language of the playground
• Build community with others who are different from them
• Connect with nature in a way that fosters wonder, care, and stewardship
Such playgrounds would likely resonate deeply with Muir’s vision of places where “Nature may heal and cheer and give strength to body and soul alike.” Though Muir lived in a different era, the spirit of inclusive, nature-based play for all children aligns with the heart of his message.
Two cents - this collage gave me hope that these ideas of his will resurface.
Cruelty really is something Trump enjoys. It’s pathetic so many Republicans do too.
It definitely seems to be his cornerstone. Thank you for your support and for reading, Scott!

There is this absurd group think in the GOP that is just completely against any compassionate idea. Thank you for reading and sharing!
