And the parks service should not be fired. Doing so is criminal. May the trees rise up and march on Washington! I know. I know, they can’t but we could wish!
I have a friend who’s been caught up in all the public land drama. When she told me about the cuts and DOGE emails and the challenges by their union, she said, “I don’t know if it’s all illegal, but it’s not right.”
We didn’t have a lot of money when I was young in Pennsylvania, but my parents were determined that we 3 kids would see as much of the US as possible. If it wasn’t for the National and State Park Systems, it would not have been possible. We saw all but the Northwestern states with in that old staton wagon and tent trailer. Beautiful memories. The woods became my happy place. I am forever grateful for all of the wonderful Park employees who made my youth magical. What is happening now breaks my heart.
I have loved our national
Parks since I was a child. They should not be sold to private groups nor harvested for lumber nor mined. Hands off our parks MAGA’S!
Absolutely! Thank you for reading, Sharon!
