PSA of the Day: Buy Your National Park Pass in December and Avoid Trump's Ugly Mug
No one wants next year's pass.
If you haven’t heard yet, Trump’s narcissism has found yet another way to disrupt our American experience.
Instead of featuring majestic wildlife photography, as is standard, our 2026 National Park Passes will feature Donald making his repulsive-as-ever mugshot face. It’s a fitting—and way too on the point—analogy for how he’s destroying our beautiful national natural treasures.
As laughable as this pass is, no environmental enthusiast wants to carry it around in their wallet. With everything he is doing to roll back protections and degrade public lands, it just adds insult to injury.
SO, park advocates are getting the word out about how to still purchase a pass and avoid this unpleasant pic.
Here are the 2 things to know:
First: If possible, buy a physical pass.
With these, 80% of your fee will stay in the park you bought it from. Digital passes do not stay in the park, but go toward overhead and contractor fees.
Second: Buy your pass in December.
It will be good all the way until December 31st of 2026, when you can buy the (hopefully better) 2027 one and avoid 2026’s eyesore.
The 2025 pass looks like this:
Like with so many things, our park advocates are on top of countering Trump’s nonsense. Join with their movements, keep up the fight, and enjoy our public lands with determination. We’re going to get through this!
With love and hope for the future,
Stephanie

What animal would you use to cover up Trump’s face on the pass?

Thank you ever so much for getting the word of this abomination spread more fully.
Thanks so much, will buy mine today. Although it might be fun to put a pig sticker over the mug...
